The project envisions a Community Centre and Co-Living community in Blacktown, designed as a sustainable ecosystem to foster connection, resilience, and well-being. Embracing principles of social sustainability, passive design, and biodiversity, the architecture creates a balance between private retreats and shared, inclusive spaces. Inspired by the natural landscape, the design incorporates locally available, low-impact materials such as rammed earth and reclaimed bricks, as well as green spaces for food production and community gatherings. Each element promotes collaboration and empowerment, particularly among disadvantaged groups, with the goal of creating a vibrant environment for community living, learning, and growth in an environmentally conscious setting.
