Loops and Legacies

The proposed adaptive re-use of the former Bedford Brickworks, located at the St Peter’s entrance to Sydney Park, provides a platform for circular design innovation, showcase and public engagement. Exploring the human relationship with material and waste, this project is a critique on heritage censorship and avoidant waste mindsets. Loops and Legacies is a holistic and uncensored exercise in Heritage Conservation and circular design, which acknowledges the rich layers of cultural palimpsest and dissects the traditional definitions of material value, provenance and legacy.
