Cover page for hear, an app that aims to listen to the stories and voices of LGBTQ+ youth in Australia.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals aim to accomplish “peace and prosperity for people and the planet now and into the future” (United Nations, 2020). However, the LGBTQ+ community is only implied by the term “other status” in Target 10.2, ironically reflecting the minority status of the LGBTQ+ community. By promoting inclusivity and diversity, we hope to give young LGBTQ+ people a platform to voice their stories and experiences through our interactive app Hear, which aims to demonstrate that they are more than a statistic.
