Rebirth: The Museum of Water and Women is the architectural translation of water as a mother, as a possession, and ultimately as an equal. Situated on Cockatoo Island, the project offers a sculpture garden, art gallery, research and education centre, amphitheatre, events space and rebirth dock. Responding to our current climate crisis and the degradation of our marine life, this project aims to rebirth visitors appreciation and treatment of water, inspired by the Indigenous Australian's symbiotic and respectful relationship with Country.
