Ngurang: Meeting Place is an architectural vision for a community centre and co-living housing in Blacktown, inspired by the conviction that architecture should nurture connection, honour cultural depth, and celebrate diversity. This design draws upon the elements of earth, fire, water, and air, weaving them throughout the site to embody harmony and balance. The design offers a haven of safety and inclusivity - a gathering place inviting shared experiences, storytelling, and connection. This process has deepened my interest in community-centred architecture, revealing that truly meaningful design arises from honouring the stories, traditions, and heritage of those who nurture these places and call them home.
