Perpetua

Perpetua seeks to breathe life into White Bay, turning stillness into rhythm and static ground into a moving landscape. Each element speaks to the motif of perpetual transformation: the audience journeys through two distinct theatres, their shifting atmospheres reflecting the evolving pulse of performance. The tidal roof, moving in sync with the waters, draws light and shadow in dynamic layers, casting the theatre in dappled brilliance or cloaked intimacy. This is a place where Sydney's cultural currents converge – marked by an "X" – embracing collision and unity; a gathering ground for diverse communities, all woven into a perpetual, living design.
