The Anonymous Theatre features the fluidity of sea and sound waves, compressing and expanding, flowing in and above water. It exists as a bridge between realities and stories told, expressing a sense of presence and absence. Siting at Cremorne Point, the theatre is presented in a minimal rectangular form. Despite the simple exterior, the interior expresses compression and expansion through spatial choreography. It flows like waves, allowing visitors to filter through the space. The waves remind us of how deep the harbour is, and how tiny we are. Through the sense of hearing, we embrace the water, and ourselves.
