Suspended above Diamond Bay's cliffs, this theatre merges music with nature, inviting audiences to experience orchestral performances framed by the rugged sandstone and ocean rhythms nearby.

Project 2/3

This design introduces two cliffside theatres at Diamond Bay Reserve that harmonise orchestral music with the natural rhythms of the South Pacific Ocean. One theatre is suspended from the cliff, while the other floats in open air. Connected by a central module with essential facilities and backstage areas, the theatres offer audiences an immersive experience where ocean tides blend with music. With its exposed structure, the design integrates theatre with nature, which creates a shared memory that harmonises landscape and performance for audiences.

A delicate timber portal frame and cable structure enclose the canvas-wrapped theatre.

The lifts are scheduled with performance times. After lowering audiences to the auditorium, the tower crane drops down the stage.
