“I am the land. I’m not part of it. I am it.” This project is a poetic exploration co-envisioned with Twofold Aboriginal Corporation, reimagining Jigamy as a space that bridges and preserves Indigenous culture and history. Inspired by the Uluru Statement from the Heart, Total Reset, and Dadirri—the art of deep listening—the master plan envisions Jigamy as an open-sky museum, a place to feel at home. Drawing parallels between Aboriginal and Indian traditions, it incorporates songlines, Dreamtime, and nature’s rhythms, cultivating an interconnected, regenerative space where everyone belongs. This way, Jigamy embodies the Indigenous spirit of the Southeast Coast.
The proposed site plan of Jigamy Farms displays density with each hand-drawn tree respectfully placed on the plan. The built and unbuilt are grey and white respectively.
The traditional Indigenous games—Yulunga—are reimagined in a modern-day youth gaming zone. An adventure-filled experience awaits both young and old.
A traditional Holistic Healthcare space where Bush medicine from the land is used to heal the community. This welcoming, landscaped space sits at the centre of the farm with Ngangkari.
The central pavilion building intersects the main road, establishing a focal point for Jigamy. It is an inclusive space where the community and visitors can celebrate and appreciate the culture.
Some 3d visualizations show the places in use by youth. The above two are from the Yulunga traditional games building and the lower one is the boardwalk at the coast.
