The Theatre of Reconciliation is a space for reflection, healing, and dialogue, set between Milk Beach and Shark Island—sites rich in natural beauty and historical significance. The design addresses Australia’s journey toward reconciliation, honouring both Indigenous and colonial legacies. It features two contrasting buildings: a permanent, land-anchored structure symbolising stability and a temporary, floating theatre representing the ongoing, adaptable process of healing. This space includes areas for gathering, art, and performance, allowing for diverse cultural expressions. With structures that adapt to tides and promote ecological health, the theatre connects land, sea, and people, fostering a shared path toward understanding.
