WAVERTON AQUATIC THEATRE + HARBOUR POOL

This proposal attempts to celebrate the harbour as a unique aspect of Sydney’s geography through hyper-localising the harbour water and electing it as the stage to house aquatic theatrics, such as artistic swimming or diving activities. In conjunction with the recent refurbishments that the Coal Loader and its centre for sustainability saw in 2011, this proposal aims to work the aquatic theatre to a secondary programme of a local amenity, which is provided to the Waverton community when this space is not in use for theatre.
