Pod-about envisions a precinct of dignity and healing, featuring modular home pods designed for disassembly. These pods provide temporary shelter for disaster survivors, while a learning centre and triaging facility address immediate needs. The pods offer residents a space for self-expression, allowing individuals to imprint their personal stories. Once these pods are used for self-expression, they are memorialized, preserving their narratives through a palimpsestic process. This layered approach fosters community connection, resilience, and remembrance, creating a space that honors both the impermanence of disaster recovery and the permanence of personal and collective history.

The most effective way to combat disaster is through education.
A cafe amidst the learning centre creates opportunites for community to engage with the educative spaces proposed.
Set of standard S.I.P, DFD 'Pods' are offered to those in need. Pods are reused for those in future need elsewhere after they are obsolete in one disaster relief location.
Pods are customisable to suit the needs of all. Designed to fit on the back of a truck, any one can be transported as required.
