Nestled into Gore Cove and positioned at the tip of an industrial site, Paired Remedy looks to a future of rehabilitation. Proposing the decommissioning of the site’s current use into one of public space, the project introduces frosted volumes over the water tailored to the needs of dramatherapy, and the specific sensory experience that it entails. Additionally, the project takes the opportunity to undo the ecological damage wreaked by the jet fuel silos that currently dominate the space. A renaturalised coastline and a flexible structure that creates space for ecological rehabilitation are key to this goal.
