NON-DOMINANT

Can architecture convey emotions and attitudes? What should an embassy built on Indonesian aim to express, especially considering it’s a Dutch embassy? Due to the Dutch colonial history of over 300 years in Indonesia, I believe that architecture should show greater respect for the site. The building volume should be minimized. Multiple scattered buildings according to the site's natural slope to convey the architecture’s non-dominant relationship with the site. The double facade can effectively block direct sunlight while providing a shaded semi-outdoor space for people’s activities.
