The Island of Four is a multi-purpose facility that redefines the relationship between performance, nature, and community. Located in the waters of Athol Bay, this contemporary theatre is designed as a natural extension of the nearby sandstone rock shelves around Bradley’s Head. Inspired by the land and water it sits on, it is not only a venue for performance but also a place for people to escape the hustle of Sydney’s City. The project allows the space to function beyond scheduled events as it becomes a continuous invitation for creativity, exploration, and connection with both the arts and nature. It encourages spontaneous use by individuals, groups, and families, integrating culture into everyday life.
The heart of performance, A place to enjoy the arts.
