Nocturne

Located in Blackwattle Bay, a location so transient in its identity and full of life as the home of the Sydney Fish Market and ANZAC Bridge, Nocturne is a small music venue that plays around with opacity and dynamic movement. A lightweight structure in which circulation is commanded by long continuous drapery. Double-layered curtains wrap around the building and its configuration along with the stage allow the performing act to decide how the venue is shaped, with its default configuration being a 360 stage, positioning the performers in the middle of the auditorium.
