This project investigates Auburn, a dynamic, culturally diverse suburb of Sydney, focusing on the role of third places as essential social and cultural hubs in urban environments. As Auburn undergoes rapid urbanization, the need for accessible community spaces is critical for fostering inclusivity, well-being, and social cohesion. By conceptualizing a tea museum as a third place, this project explores its potential to enhance Auburn’s social landscape, offering a space for cultural exchange, informal support, and relaxation. Through thoughtful design, the tea museum aims to create a welcoming environment that bridges community interactions and supports Auburn’s vibrant, growing population.
