This thesis looks at Auburn, Sydney, where large numbers of residents are immigrants facing identity challenges. It proposes a Public Projection Archive to create shared cinematic experiences that encourage cultural dialogue and evoke memories among immigrants, blending informal projection setups with a traditional cinema that explore themes of identity and belonging. Ultimately, it explores how public film screenings can help build connections in multicultural neighbourhoods like Auburn.
