The architectural school starts as an encampment, demanding an alternative, bottom-up architectural education, then over the time frame of 5 years, gradually taking over the Cockatoo Island. With the structures self-built by students, the school will remain in a constant hostile relationship with its environment.

Anarchism is possibly the most radical and revolutionary social struggle against capitalism. It stems from a simple and convincing idea: People can be their own agency, and they best know their interests. As an ideology that extends beyond the political, economic and philosophical landscape, it would not be the aim of this guide to argue its validity. Rather, the objective is to suggest a possible methodology that could empower architecture students and architectural workers, and then manifest it into built form. optimistically with this guide, the action does not have to start from an empty whiteboard.
