Affordable Net Zero Housing and Community Spaces (Architectural Science Studio)
BAE
The Blue Mountains faces a severe housing crisis: almost half of renters experience financial stress, while most available properties are used for short-term stays.
Visualisation of Courtyard. Community and Cultural Hub (Architecture Studio)
BAE
Reimagine the historic Old Clairvaux site in the Blue Mountains as a permanent Community and Cultural Hub centred on First Nations culture, creative practice, and healing.
A shared entry courtyard anchors the site, shaped by restored native planting and framed by both levels of the graft. It's a flexible place for gathering, teaching, ceremony and rest.
The central promenade forms the cultural spine, lined with pre-existing brick, timber structures and filtered canopy light, expressing continuity between Country, existing fabric and new Indigenous-informed practices
