HERE, HER

HERE, HER is a temporary civic house in Sydney’s CBD, linking Queen Square and Hyde Park Barracks and stitching institutions to everyday life. Conceived as a commons, it brings care, co-learning and mutual aid into public view, letting small acts endure at city scale. For sixty days, grassroots women’s organisations gather to support migrant women while an embedded press—writers, editors and printers—works on site, reporting, publishing and building a shared archive that seeds a durable network. The house’s legible silhouette signals that common life is civic; the bolder act—crossing the road—gives it ground.
