St Marys Green Spine: A Climate-Resilient Mixed-Use Village for a Connected Community

The St Marys Master Plan envisions transforming the Town Centre Precinct into a vibrant, inclusive, and climate-resilient urban neighbourhood. Anchored by a mixed-use village centre, the plan promotes diverse housing, active street life, and generous public spaces connected by a pedestrian-friendly green spine linking to South Creek. It prioritises ecological health, walkability, and social inclusion while celebrating local heritage. Drawing inspiration from global precedents like Las Salinas in Chile, the design integrates green infrastructure, wetlands, and communal open spaces to foster sustainability, community connection, and a strong sense of place within the Greater Western Sydney growth framework.
