The exterior of the building exists harmoniously with the existing architectural landscape and is formed with local, sustainable materials. Perforated edges create a seamless conversation between inside and outside.
Interior spaces of the building are arranged in terms of privacy. Two building volumes separate quiet study and support spaces from public exhibition and auditorium areas.
The materials and facade of the building are informed by the surrounding natural and manmade landscapes. Native gardens and thoughtful materials are key principles which have guided the design.
The interior spaces use soft colours and natural finishes to create calming environments for students and staff to gather.
The ground floor is arranged for fluid circulation through the building and gathering in the central native garden at the heart of the site.
