"Among Us" explores how geographical exiles and autistic individuals both experience profound non-belonging. The project creates sensory-friendly, culturally-grounded spaces where true inclusion is architecturally designed rather than passively expected.
Geographical exile breeds loneliness, drawing me to psychoanalysis and the autistic community. We share profound isolation and a search for a safe, manageable sanctuary where the soul can rest.
These three spaces form the project's heart: the Weaving Workshop, the Debating Space, and the Food Space with shared tables, all employing the woven aesthetic to foster belonging.
Inspired by loom mechanics, this safe space uses interwoven textiles to absorb high-frequency noise. The foldable fabric layers provide adjustable control over both sound insulation and light penetration.
