Relight- Reimagining Clairvaux

Situated on Gundungurra and Darug Country, the redesign of Clairvaux Cottage transforms the site into a place of renewal grounded in cultural and ecological connection. A Country-first approach guides low-impact, net-zero modular homes elevated to protect wildlife corridors and embed residents within natural rhythms. Native planting, green roofs, and rainwater harvesting strengthen relationships between people and land through everyday interaction with Country. The community centre and shared outdoor spaces support gathering, storytelling, and cultural practice, nurturing social bonds and belonging. Together, the homes and communal spaces create a resilient landscape where people, land, and culture remain deeply interconnected.
