The architecture shifts in register. From a privatised, interwar gothic-style substation to a public architecture, inviting the continual registration of the seasonal ecology through cyanographic chambers.
Paradoxical to Tafuri's city-territory, the envelope is altered in a controlled manner, necessary to expose the continuity of each layer. Relieving the space of its private boundaries to public realms.
The static and dynamic nature of the herbarium and cyanographic chamber engages with the full life-cycle of the architecture, defining a temporal organ. Change, decay and renewal become built-form.
The existing skeleton is recalibrated to adapt to architecture that conforms to the seasonal changes on site.
The craftsman's workshop and fragrance organ form the engine room-entirely domestic, the space becomes a tool that enables the extension of the city and cleanser of the territory.
